Session Details

  1. Do the hammocks have a weight limit?
    375lbs or 26st 7lbs
     

  2. How do I get in and out of the hammock?
    Getting in and out of our hammocks is the most asked question we get - and it’s simpler than you might think! To put your mind at ease, we’ll guide you into your hammock and ensure you feel secure by letting you lean back onto us as we help you settle in. You’ll feel confident and supported in no time!
     

  3. What should I wear?
    We recommend wearing clean, comfortable clothing such as lounge or activewear. Please ensure your hair is washed and clean, as cleanliness is essential for shared use. Shoes are not permitted in the hammock.
     

  4. What should I bring to the session?
    Feel free to bring items that help you relax and stay cozy, such as:
    Blanket
    Eye mask
    Small pillow
    Water
     

  5. Can I bring my own brush or comb?
    Absolutely! If you’d like, you can bring your own brush or comb. If you’d prefer, we can skip the hair brushing altogether and offer a temple and scalp massage instead. We are inclusive of all hair types, including braids and 4C hair, and our sessions are welcoming to those with or without hair. Please let us know your preference, and we’ll ensure you feel comfortable!
     

  6. Is there anything I need to avoid before attending?
    Please refrain from consuming any alcohol or drugs before coming to your session. Additionally, we recommend not eating for at least an hour prior to your session. Since we use vibration techniques during the session, having a full stomach may cause a seasick feeling while in the hammock.
     

  7. ​​What if I don’t want certain treatments?
    Our sessions are multi-sensory relaxation and stimulation experiences, and you can have as much or as little as you desire. It’s your practice; it’s your session. If you don’t want your hair brushed, for example, we won’t do it - though we think it’s divine, we understand not everyone shares that view! This also applies to head or foot massages, the double cuddle, or even the swaying motion. You can still benefit from the zero gravity effect just by relaxing in your hammock. Please feel free to speak with us about anything, and we’ll accommodate your preferences.
     

  8. ​​Is this a women-only session?
    We do offer women-only sessions, but most of our classes are open to everyone. We believe in encouraging the men in our lives to look after their well-being, too! If you’re specifically looking for a female-only session, let us know, and we’ll let you know when one is available.
     

  9. ​​Is Hammock Harmonies hijab-friendly?
    Absolutely. Our sessions are designed with inclusivity in mind. If you have specific needs or requests, please don’t hesitate to contact us in advance, and we’ll work with you to ensure your comfort and privacy.
     

  10. ​​Is there an age limit for participation?
    We’ve had children as young as 7 join us, and our oldest participant to date was 93! However, we do ask that all children under 16 are accompanied by an adult. We recommend that younger participants attend our afternoon sessions rather than our late-night ones. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s participation, please get in touch.
     

  11. ​​What if I don’t want to be touched?
    If you have specific preferences about touch or adjustments during the session, please let us know in advance. We tailor our sessions for individual enjoyment and will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Medical Information

 

  1. Is it safe to participate while pregnant?
    Yes, our sessions are safe after the first trimester of pregnancy. However, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before participating. If you have specific needs, please contact us in advance.
     

  2. Can I attend if I have an injury?
    Yes, we are more than happy to discuss this with you at the point of booking. Please give us details of your injury so we can assess if this is suitable for you and ensure we can look after you in the best way possible. In many cases, our wonderful hammocks can help ease injury and aid healing.
     

  3. What if I have a medical condition or devices like a pacemaker or metal plates?
    If you have any medical conditions, pacemakers, metal plates, or other similar devices in your body, please contact both us and your healthcare professional first. In some cases, the sound of vibration during the session may interfere with such implants, so we want to ensure your safety and comfort before you attend.

Financial, Legal, and Other Policies

  1. Do I need to sign a waiver?
    Yes, all participants must complete a medical waiver prior to the session. This ensures we are aware of any relevant health or safety considerations. Waivers are shared and explained in advance, so you’ll have plenty of time to review and complete them.
     

  2. What is your refund or exchange policy?
    We do not offer refunds. However, you may exchange your session or reschedule it with at least 7 days’ notice. Each booking can only be swapped once. If you are unable to attend, you’re welcome to gift your session to a friend or family member - just let us know at least 48 hours in advance so we can ensure the appropriate waivers are completed.
     

  3. Can you come to us?
    Yes, we’re able to offer pop-up sessions for corporate events, festivals, and other special occasions. Reach out to us for more details about our mobile setup.
     

  4. Do you offer corporate wellbeing programs?
    Yes! Our Wellbeing at Work program brings the relaxing and rejuvenating experience of Hammock Harmonies to your workplace. It’s perfect for team-building, stress relief, or simply as a special treat for your team. Contact us to explore bespoke packages for your business.
     

  5. Do you offer private sessions?
